Welcome!

Welcome to Tardis Point News. This blog is no longer running, as I started watching Parks and Recreation and am still mourning over the cancellation of Eureka. Don't stop watching Doctor Who though, which is and always will be the best TV show ever.

SFX Teasers for Cold Blood

SFX has released their list of teasers for this weeks Doctor Who episode, Cold Blood. It will be on 29th May, on BBC One and BBC HD at 7:00 pm. Click here.

1. Some advice: don’t go out in the sun and tape this one to watch later. Stay in and watch it live.

2. It’s much, much better than the first part. Though that’s largely due to stunning developments in the arc plot, not the Silurian storyline.

3. You may suddenly find yourself half-expecting to see the Moxx of Balhoon trundling in through a doorway.

4. A reference to a vegetable will make long-term fans smile.

5. Something that last happened millions upon millions of years ago happens again. Though it’s not as memorable as last time.

6. A phrase popularised by Sir Alex Ferguson is used twice.

7. The Doctor finds a use for the sonic screwdriver that would have really come in handy about, ooh, a million times before.

8. A prophecy is fulfilled.

9. You might find yourself remembering a sperm whale and a bowl of petunias…

10. … And thinking, “Oh no, not again”.

11. At one point, the Doctor pulls out something that’ll make your jaw drop. It’s a sign of what is to come. Well, part of it…

1. Amy and Rory are expecting to arrive in Rio when The Doctor mistakenly lands them in a Welsh village in the year 2020. Yes, it's just an excuse to see Amy in a tiny skirt for the next two episodes but let's agree to overlook that.

2. Immediately The Doctor senses that there's something unusual with the ground below them. There's something wrong with the grass, too.

3. Pay attention to the script very early on in this episode. A lot of the lines will have added poignancy after the story is done with.

Doctor Who 2010 July Books

The BBC has released the covers and details of the next 3 Doctor Who books this year. They are due to be released 22nd July for the RRP of £6.99. They are called The Glamour Chase, Nuclear Time and The King's Dragon, each are 256 pages.

The Glamour Chase

Written by Gary Russell

'Why are you here? I mean — who are you, exactly?'

An archaeological dig in 1936 unearths relics of another time... And — as the Doctor, Amy and Rory realise — another place. Another planet. But if Enola Porter, noted adventuress, has really found evidence of an alien civilisation, how come she isn't famous? Why has Rory never heard of her? Added to that, since Amy's been travelling with him for a while now, why does she now think the Doctor is from Mars?

As the ancient spaceship reactivates, the Doctor discovers that nothing and no one can be trusted. The things that seem most real could actually be literal fabrications — and very deadly indeed. Who can the Doctor believe when no one is what they seem? And how can he defeat an enemy who can bend matter itself to their will? For the Doctor, Amy and Rory — and all of humanity — the buried secrets of the past are very much a threat to the present...

A thrilling, all-new adventure featuring the Doctor, Amy and Rory, as played by Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill in the spectacular hit series from BBC Television.

Nuclear Time

Written by Oli Smith

'My watch is running backwards.'

Colorado, 1981. The Doctor, Amy and Rory arrive in Appletown — an idyllic village in the remote American desert where the townsfolk go peacefully about their suburban routines. But when two more strangers arrive, things begin to change. The first is a mad scientist — whose warnings are cut short by an untimely and brutal death. The second is the Doctor...

As death falls from the sky, the Doctor is trapped. The TARDIS is damaged, and the Doctor finds he is living backwards through time. With Amy and Rory being hunted through the suburban streets of the Doctor's own future and getting farther away with every passing second, he must unravel the secrets of Appletown before time runs out...

A thrilling, all-new adventure featuring the Doctor, Amy and Rory, as played by Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill in the spectacular hit series from BBC Television.

The King's Dragon

Written by Una McCormack

'They called it Enamour. It turned minds, sold merchandise, and swayed elections. And it did its job far too well...'

In the city-state of Geath, the King lives in a golden hall, and the people want for nothing. Everyone is happy and everyone is rich. Or so it seems. When the Doctor, Amy and Rory look beneath the surface, they discover a city of secrets. In dark corners, strange creatures are stirring. At the heart of the hall, a great metal dragon oozes gold.

Then the Herald appears, demanding the return of her treasure... And next come the gunships. The battle for possession of the treasure has begun, and only the Doctor and his friends can save the people of the city from being destroyed in the crossfire of an ancient civil war. But will the King surrender his new-found wealth? Or will he fight to keep it...?

A thrilling, all-new adventure featuring the Doctor, Amy and Rory, as played by Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill in the spectacular hit series from BBC Television.

1. The episode starts with a heavily pregnant Amy and a ponytailed-Rory pottering around their little cottage in a country village.

2. The TARDIS arrives, and The Doctor catches up with his two old friends. "You've swallowed a planet," The Doctor tells Amy.

3. The trio fall asleep on a bench then wake up in the TARDIS, which promptly loses power while on collision course with a star that's burning cold.

4. The mischievous Dream Lord appears on board and tells The Doctor that there are two worlds - one real, one false - and they must identify the real one or face deadly consequences. And therein is the setup for this episode. Cue much "flashing" between both worlds...

5. Fans of a now-defunct DAB station will be happy.

6. In the village scenario, Rory has become a proper doctor.

7. There's a distinct lack of love for The Doctor's bow-tie in this episode.

8. Poor Rory - he's variously referred to as "the gooseberry" and "pointy-nose".

9. Pints in the air: "There was an old Doctor from Gallifrey..."

10. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Well, in this case, the eye is in the mouth of the beholder!

This Too Shall Pass

So.. Right. Anyway..

I'm sure you've heard about the new look Whoviavortex, and you can all(as long as you can see flash) see it.. tomorrow at 20:36 (the time of the first post 2 years ago)! So here's what's going to happen.

It's made using Wix, which in case you didn't know, is full flash, but this blog will be the base for news, just not the main site. I will do my best to continue updating here with other stuff on the sidebar and I'll keep the cbox going, but not for long.. I don't know how long but I will sometime move the news section onto the Wix site, so it's all one. The Wix site has a new name, TARDIS Point, or Whoviavortex 2.0, along with this blog.

There are still many things to do with the new TARDIS Point, but you can see everything as they are updated, like games, gallery, ect. I will give you no other sneak previews of it.
