Day One of Torchwood: Children of Earth, which aired yesterday, recieved a total of 5.9 millions overnight viewers, with 25.8% of the day's audience and the fifth watched programme of the day (BBC1 abd BBC HD) and the second watched on BBC One. The official viewing figures will be released in 10 days, which should be higher than the overnight ratings.
